Geralt and Cahir

Meet Geralt and Cahir

Geralt and Cahir have blossomed into beautiful, extraordinarily affectionate young cats. Geralt has turned into a lap cat, frequently jumping up for petting with his purr motor running, and will even allow himself to be held. Cahir is more reserved, but he’ll let you know when it’s his turn for attention! He has perfected the stop-drop-and-flop move to ask for petting, where he rolls over onto his side – and often on top of your foot. Geralt is still a little goofball who can frequently be found adorably posed with his belly up. His deep orange eyes contrast with his buff coat and he has retained his wistful, kittenish expression. Cahir is golden all over, with his eyes matching his smooth, velvety coat. He is more laid back and watches to see what his brother gets up to before joining in. You’ll often see him stretched out like a tiger on a rock, showing off his stripes. Both these boys were two of a group of over 30 indoor cats put outside by their owner. Concerned neighbors and other caring citizens volunteered to foster the abandoned animals while Precious Pets Almost Home worked with our vets to get their medical needs attended to. When Geralt and Cahir not cuddling, they’re extremely playful and adept at entertaining themselves. They love chasing each other, dive-bombing a box of packaging paper just like kids jumping into a pile of leaves. The bathtub is a favorite spot for wrestling. They enjoy playing with toys and have a favorite dilapidated red puffball that their foster mom will often find “gifted” to her next to her pillow or inside her boots. They’re not big “talkers” but they are impressive purr machines. Geralt has a HUGE purr at least four times his size. Cahir’s purr is softer and lower in pitch, but just as warm. You’ll also hear friendly chirps when they jump up for petting or little “meeps” at dinnertime. Best of all, they cuddle with their foster mom night! Most often, Geralt is snuggled into her neck with Cahir curled up against her side just an arm’s length away. Sometimes they’ll take turns nosing their way in front of each other for attention. They are two of the snuggliest, most tender cats we’ve met in a long while. We can happily report that they are healthy and ready to go to their FURRever loving home. We feel they are bonded and would like to see them adopted together.
