Meet Athena
Athena is a friendly female brown tabby (estimated DOB: 7/9/2024) who is already a lap cat! She is the type who wants to be held while you are moving around the house. She is very chatty and truly loves attention. Athena is brave and playful with other cats and enjoys their company.
We rescued Athena along with her mom and 4 other siblings on the far southside of Chicago. Her mom gave birth on a hot summer day next to a dumpster. A concerned neighbor brought them in and reached out to us for help.
While Athena and her brother, Zeus, aren’t bonded, they would do well in a home together. Athena has never been exposed to dogs. We expect she would do just fine in a home with gentle children.
All kittens must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with another young cat with which he or she can play and socialize. The majority of no-kill rescues nationwide adhere to this policy. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions, rather it ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development.
