Affectionate and easygoing, Shadow is a sweet, smart, and independent boy (estimated DOB: 2/26/2022) with a gentle soul and a loving heart. He has adjusted beautifully to foster life and takes every new change in stride—even welcoming new foster siblings with calm confidence.

Shadow shares a special bond with his foster brother, Whitney. He can often be found grooming him, cuddling up close, or simply keeping him company—showing just how nurturing and kind he truly is. He also has a playful side and loves chasing spring toys, often bringing them to you as an invitation to join in the fun.

When it’s time to relax, Shadow is all about affection. He enjoys curling up on a lap and soaking up gentle pets, especially tummy scratches—his favorite!

Shadow’s journey hasn’t always been easy. He was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control while suffering from an upper respiratory infection and refusing to eat. With proper care and love, he made a full recovery and has since blossomed into the happy, healthy boy he is today.

Shadow thrives in the company of other cats and would do best in a home with a feline companion. Ideally, he would love to be adopted with his best friend Whitney so they can continue their special bond together.

All animals are already spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested negative, micro-chipped, de-wormed and have all necessary shots. They are ready to go to a loving home. Adoption fee is $175.00.
